I have been in the ESL field for about 10 years. I began my career as an ESL Instructor in 2007 while still perusing my education for BA degree in TESOL. Later on, I earned my MA degree in TESOL in 2011. I taught at different Language institutes for more than six years back in my country. As I moved to the United States, I continued working as an ESL Instructor and also Head ESL Instructor at the LA Pacific College from basic to advanced levels.
It was a great experience! I love being part of a teaching staff that provides such creative, engaging and immersive learning experiences for students with multiethnic and cultural backgrounds. I taught there for about three years. Meanwhile, I was working as the Academic assistant too.
Later, I took the role as an ESL Program Coordinator at the Los Angeles ORT College. I am passionate about my job. Recently I got also involved in teaching ESL besides my main role as the coordinator.
Every day is different in my role as an ESL teacher and Program Coordinator and it is never boring! I love leading, challenging and supporting staff and students to be the best they can be. We have a great team of teachers and supportive staff at the LA ORT College.
More than anything though, it is the success of every student in this college that makes my job as an ESL teacher and Program Coordinator such a rewarding one.
Outside of school, I still enjoy learning and take every opportunity to visit different places.
